Sobre la artista
Soy Mayra Zazueta, artista mexicana contemporánea y fundadora de una marca de arte vestible que transforma pintura original en piezas para vestir. Mi práctica artística combina el lenguaje gráfico y la pintura a través de técnica mixta, explorando el movimiento, la introspección y la resonancia emocional del color. Desde esta práctica de taller, la marca evolucionó de forma natural: cada colección nace como una obra auténtica y se traduce con cuidado al textil, conservando su profundidad, su energía y su integridad pictórica. Creo en el arte como una forma de presencia cotidiana. En transformar una prenda en una extensión de la identidad.

About the Artist
Mayra Zazueta is a contemporary Mexican artist based in Mexico. A graduate of the Escuela de Artes Plásticas at the Universidad Autónoma de Sinaloa, she has developed a multidisciplinary practice that combines painting, collage, and graphic language to explore emotion, memory, and identity.
Her work has been selected for major art exhibitions in Mexico, including the 2002, 2012, and 2013 National Art Biennials, and has also been presented at the Latin American Art Festival in San Diego, California.
Through color, texture, and symbolism, Mayra creates works that invite quiet reflection and an intimate dialogue with the viewer. Every piece reflects her belief that art has the power to accompany everyday life while preserving its depth and authenticity.
In 2025, together with her children, she founded MAYRA ZAZUETA | WEARABLE ART, extending her artistic practice beyond the canvas and into thoughtfully crafted objects and garments that bring original art into everyday life.
